Social emotional learning (SEL) peer group for neurodivergent adults (18+) to share experiences dealing with demand avoidance to receive support and help with functional/social skills while in burnout or unmasking.

Focuses:

  • Creating more capacity in burnout by being witnessed and supported by peers, because human beings are not islands.
  • being functional w PDA: sharing routines and systems to actually get stuff done
  • Choosing liberation over shame
  • Discussing social skills and communication strategies without masking.
  • Showing up imperfectly + setting ~reasonable expectations~ for yourself instead of constantly overworking.
  • Practicing + sharing conflict repair
  • Deepening friendship + communal connections

*Informed by the following frameworks: Transformative social emotional learning (tSEL), restorative justice, disability justice, relationship anarchy, somatic exercises, collective care, liberation, and the “Characteristics of White Supremacy Culture,” by Tema Okun.
